Karen Robinson, MSW, LICSW received her BA from The University of Massachusetts in 1994 and her MSW from Simmons College in 1996. Since that time, she has been treating adolescents, adults,couples and families with issues related to depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, marital and parenting issues, grief/loss, stress management, post partum depression, substance abuse and eating disorders.
During Karen's twenty years of experience, she has provided individual, family, and group treatment in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She worked on an inpatient forensic unit for eight years, as part of a multidisciplinary team doing court ordered evaluations, assessments, group and individual counseling. Karen worked at several Norcap Outpatient Centers, over a four year period , where she ran both adult and adolescent substance abuse relapse prevention groups. She also worked at Riverside Community Counseling Center for five years where she provided individual counseling for adults and adolescents and led adult substance abuse groups. For the last six years, Karen has been treating adults, adolescents, families and couples in Foxborough, MA.
Karen's special interests include working with couples to improve communication, intimacy and parenting cohesiveness, to assist men and woman improve interpersonal relationships, manage stress, depression and anxiety and develop peace of mind. She also works with adolescents to become empowered and build confidence to improve self esteem, peer and parent relationship issues and academic stressors.
